Meet the Founder

Helping emergency response organizations become more mission ready

I've stood where you stand.

Chris Snook, founder of Rescue Agency Manager
My Story

This wasn't built in a boardroom

Rescue Agency Manager wasn't created in a boardroom. It was created from years of serving in Search & Rescue and seeing the same administrative challenges faced by volunteer emergency response organizations everywhere.

I watched dedicated volunteers spend countless hours managing certifications, training records, equipment, vehicles, and member information using spreadsheets, paper binders, and disconnected systems. The people serving our communities deserved better.

So I decided to build it.

Search & Rescue Experience

Years on the line, not just behind a desk

I've served in Search & Rescue for over a decade — in the field and in leadership. That has meant training weekends, multi-agency deployments, and the constant work behind the scenes: rosters, certifications, equipment and fleet readiness, and helping organize training for other responders.

The point isn't a list of titles. It's that I've lived these challenges — the expired certification discovered at the worst moment, the equipment nobody was tracking, the paperwork that pulled leaders away from the mission.

Technology Background

Built by someone who understands both sides

Most software for emergency response is built by software companies. Rescue Agency Manager was built by someone who understands both emergency response and enterprise technology.

Outside of Search & Rescue, I've spent more than three decades helping organizations modernize operations through industrial automation, manufacturing and operational technology (OT), cybersecurity, AI, and digital transformation. That combination of operational experience and technology is what shaped the design of Rescue Agency Manager.

Why I Built RAM

I set out to solve problems

I didn't set out to build software. I set out to solve problems.

Every hour spent searching for paperwork is an hour not spent training. Every expired certification that's overlooked creates unnecessary risk. Every piece of equipment that's forgotten can affect operational readiness.

Technology should reduce administrative work — not create more of it. That belief became Rescue Agency Manager.

My Mission

More organized, more mission ready

My goal isn't simply to build software. My goal is to help emergency response organizations become more organized, more prepared, and more mission ready.

Whether an organization uses Rescue Agency Manager or simply learns something from our educational resources, we've succeeded if we've helped them better serve their communities.

Beyond the Software

An educational commitment

This is bigger than an app. Through the Knowledge Center, we're building a growing library of practical, experience-based resources: best-practice and leadership guides, industry articles, AI for emergency services, video training, free downloads, and Mission-Ready checklists.

The goal is simple — help agencies get better at the work, whether or not they ever use our software.

A Personal Note

Giving back

Volunteer responders give their time because they care about their communities. They deserve tools that respect that commitment.

Building Rescue Agency Manager has become my way of giving back to the emergency response community that has given me so much over the years.
