The problem
Paperwork was getting in the way of the mission
A response team carries a heavy load that has nothing to do with the emergency itself. Recruiting and keeping volunteers. Tracking certifications and training. Keeping vehicles and gear ready. Staying compliant and funded.
That work is spread across tools that never quite agree. The gaps show up at the worst moments: a certification that lapsed, an inspection that slipped, a record nobody can find.

RAM grew out of years in search and rescue, combined with decades of building secure systems for demanding industries. It was not designed as a theory. It was built to fix problems we lived with.
That shapes every decision. It has to work under pressure. It has to protect sensitive information. And it has to respect that most of the people using it are volunteers giving their own time.
